Belgrade, November 18, 2024 – Through “Open Data for Open Society” project, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Office for IT and eGovernment, with support from the United Kingdom, the second workshop in the series of trainings for women entrepreneurs from Vojvodina, titled “Better Business Through Data“ was held on November 13 at Fruška Gora. Simultaneously, this eight-week training program also began in Kragujevac, in collaboration with the National Employment Service.
The training is designed for women entrepreneurs working in various fields such as hospitality, jewelry production, natural cosmetics, and the textile industry, who aim to acquire new digital skills to improve their businesses.
Svetlana Čavić, president of the association “She is Worthy” from Vojvodina, emphasized the importance of this training for their members, who are gaining the opportunity to advance together in areas like artificial intelligence and digital marketing.
Through collaboration with mentors and practical tasks, twenty women entrepreneurs from Vojvodina and ten from Kragujevac will learn how to use data and digital tools to enhance their business operations, track success, make informed decisions, and create professional reports and presentations for applying for subsidies, loans, or other forms of support.
“The course is designed to help women entrepreneurs systematically collect and use data, identify market opportunities, and utilize resources more effectively. Through practical application, they gain skills for making informed decisions that lead to the sustainable development of their businesses,” said Tatjana Kecojević, one of the trainers.
Additionally, participants will have opportunities for networking and exchanging experiences with other entrepreneurs, and by the end of the training, they will be able to apply their newly acquired skills to a concrete business project.
